LSEBN and UEA Advanced Burn Care Course

1 September @ 8:00 am - 31 December @ 5:00 pm

Modules at Level 6 and 7 offering 20 credits, enabling learners to further develop advanced burn care skills and enhance theoretical knowledge that underpins clinical practice (CC3N, April 2025).  The module is hosted and delivered online by the London and South East Burn Network (LSEBN), in partnership with University of East Anglia (UEA).

The curriculum follows the patient journey, starting with the underlying pathophysiology of burn injury and following themed content covering:

  • Prehospital burn care and initial assessment
  • Early burn care and surgical management
  • Reducing the burden of injury
  • Holistic and global perspective of burn care
  • Complex burn injuries and skin loss

The course is fully online and includes six online study mornings introducing each of the core themes.

The course is run twice a year, from September to December and from January to March.
